The Federal Government has commenced repair works on the 13-kilometre Kano Eastern Bypass in a move aimed at reducing traffic congestion and improving road safety.
The Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), which is handling the project, said the rehabilitation will restore damaged sections of the highway, enhance the free flow of traffic, and extend the lifespan of the critical road infrastructure.
The Kano Eastern Bypass is a major route used by commercial and heavy-duty vehicles, making it a key transport corridor for economic activities in the region.
Motorists have been advised to exercise caution, obey traffic diversion signs, and cooperate with officials while the repair work is ongoing.
The project is part of the Federal Government's continued efforts to maintain federal highways and improve transportation infrastructure across the country.
