The latest reductions were recorded in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Warri, with the biggest adjustment reported in Lagos. According to the latest depot price data, several operators reduced their petrol prices by between ₦20 and ₦25 per litre. Dangote cuts petrol price to ₦1,325 The Dangote Petroleum Refinery reduced its petrol price from ₦1,350 to ₦1,325 per litre, representing a ₦25 reduction. Other Lagos-based operators also adjusted their prices. 22nd September 2026 Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has lifted the suspension placed on the Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Reuben Izeze, directing him to resume his official duties after completing 10 weeks away from office. The directive was contained in a statement issued by the Delta State Government on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. According to reports, Izeze’s suspension was initially announced on August 10 following an incident involving an aide to the governor.  The commissioner was directed to proceed on suspension while the circumstances surrounding the incident were examined. With the governor’s latest directive, Izeze is expected to return to his responsibilities as Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads). The Niger State Government has lifted the curfew imposed on Minna, the state capital, following the unrest that erupted after the deaths of 37 suspected artisanal miners in the custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The curfew takes effect from Monday, September 21, 2026, according to a statement issued by Bologi Ibrahim, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State, on Sunday, September 20. Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago announced the decision shortly after attending a three-day special prayer session held in honour of the 37 artisanal miners who died while in NSCDC custody.
