The increase has added to the financial pressure on families already struggling with higher costs of food, transportation, accommodation and other essential needs. Some parents said the sharp rise in school fees is making it increasingly difficult to keep their children in their preferred schools, with some considering cheaper alternatives. According to affected parents, the increase is not limited to tuition fees, as additional expenses such as textbooks, uniforms, transportation, examination charges and other school levies have also contributed to the overall cost of resumption.
