BREAKING: Hardship: Foursquare GO Urges Nigerians Not to Abandon Faith

The General Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, Rev. Sam Aboyeji, has urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in their faith despite the economic hardship and mounting pressures facing citizens across the country.
Aboyeji gave the advice during the first District Convocation and District Anniversary of the Foursquare Gospel Church, Pleasure District, in Lagos.
Represented at the event by the Ikeja Axis Coordinator, Rev. Ayomide Abraham, the cleric encouraged Nigerians to continue trusting God for better times while remaining grateful for His provisions. 
He acknowledged the economic pressure associated with high petrol prices but urged citizens to also recognise developments in the country, including improvements in infrastructure and access to student loans.
The Foursquare leader further called on Nigerians to continue praying for economic recovery and an end to insecurity, while encouraging Christians to remain faithful to God during difficult times. 
‘The Next Generation Is Critical’
Aboyeji also stressed the importance of investing in and preparing younger generations, noting that the future of the church depends significantly on its ability to attract and develop young people.
According to him, the church has introduced Grand Assembly churches to provide worship environments and experiences suited to younger generations, while maintaining its doctrinal foundation. 

The occasion also witnessed the elevation of Pleasure Missionary District to a full-fledged district, with Rev. Charles Fashola declared its District Overseer.
Aboyeji described the development as a demonstration of the church's growth, noting that membership had risen to about 1,500, exceeding the 1,000-member benchmark required for district status.
