Sam Aboyeji, has urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in their faith despite the economic hardship and mounting pressures facing citizens across the country. Aboyeji gave the advice during the first District Convocation and District Anniversary of the Foursquare Gospel Church, Pleasure District, in Lagos. Represented at the event by the Ikeja Axis Coordinator, Rev. Ayomide Abraham, the cleric encouraged Nigerians to continue trusting God for better times while remaining grateful for His provisions.  He acknowledged the economic pressure associated with high petrol prices but urged citizens to also recognise developments in the country, including improvements in infrastructure and access to student loans. Mali Acquires New Presidential Aircraft Following 2024 Terrorist Attack
The Government of Mali has strengthened its presidential fleet with the acquisition of a new Boeing 737 presidential aircraft valued at 15.6 billion CFA francs.
The new aircraft replaces the previous presidential jet, which was destroyed during the September 17, 2024, terrorist attack on Bamako Airport. According to Malian authorities, the acquisition is aimed at ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of government operations and official state engagements.
Officials also stated that insurance compensation from the destroyed aircraft, along with proceeds from the sale of salvageable parts, is expected to significantly reduce the financial burden of the purchase on the government.
The development comes as Mali continues efforts to reinforce state institutions and maintain continuity in governance amid ongoing security challenges.
