Sam Aboyeji, has urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in their faith despite the economic hardship and mounting pressures facing citizens across the country. Aboyeji gave the advice during the first District Convocation and District Anniversary of the Foursquare Gospel Church, Pleasure District, in Lagos. Represented at the event by the Ikeja Axis Coordinator, Rev. Ayomide Abraham, the cleric encouraged Nigerians to continue trusting God for better times while remaining grateful for His provisions.  He acknowledged the economic pressure associated with high petrol prices but urged citizens to also recognise developments in the country, including improvements in infrastructure and access to student loans. The Federal Government has commenced the distribution of electric vehicles to civil servants as part of its broader efforts to promote cleaner energy, reduce transportation costs and encourage the adoption of environmentally friendly mobility solutions across the country.

The initiative is expected to provide civil servants with access to more affordable and sustainable transportation while supporting the government’s transition towards cleaner sources of energy.
The distribution of the electric vehicles is also aimed at reducing dependence on conventional petrol-powered vehicles, which have continued to impose significant transportation costs on workers amid changing energy prices.
Government officials said the programme forms part of ongoing measures to promote the use of electric mobility and support Nigeria’s clean-energy transition.
The move is expected to generate wider interest in electric vehicles among Nigerians and potentially encourage greater investment in charging infrastructure and other components of the emerging electric mobility sector.
The Federal Government’s electric-vehicle initiative comes as Nigeria continues to explore alternative energy solutions capable of reducing emissions while easing the economic burden of transportation on citizens.
